Learning opportunities are enhanced by extra-curricular activities of special interest to the student.  These activities are excellent means for child growth and development.  They promote good conduct and self-confidence.  General participation requirements are based on academic efforts and conduct.  Specific participation requirements vary according to the nature of the activity. Students wishing to participate in student government, safety patrol, or on an athletic team must aboide by the following:

Remain academically eligible in All subjects-a C average in all classes.  Grades will be checked at Progress Report time and when Report Cards are issued.  A student who has three zeroes in any subject will be placed on probation and if a fourth zero is earned, the student will be removed from the activity until the next report card.  If a student receives a grade lower than a C, the student will be placed on probation and will not participate until the grade is raised.  Students with grades lower than a C on the report card will be ineligible to participate in an activity or try out for a sport until the next report card.

Remain in good standing with conduct, behavior and effort in every class.  Students who receive four demerits in any one quarter will not be eligible to participate in any extra-curricular activities until the new quarter begins.
