Mrs. Quana Register is a credentialed Child Development Associate, (National CDA recipient), with an emphasis in the development of children from ages Birth-5. She has worked in the Pre- K programs at St. Paul’s for the past 6 years, and has previously taught in and managed infant, toddler, VPK, drop-in, private home, and after school environments. She has been married for the past 11 years and has 3 children, ages 10, 10 and 11. All attend Catholic school, with two of them attending St. Paul’s currently.
Mrs. Adrienne Baldwin is a Jacksonville native who graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and The Florida State University. Her degree is in Recreation and Leisure Administration with an emphasis in special events and early childhood education. She received her teaching certificate in 2007 in Age 3 - 3rd grade. She has 9 years of teaching experience here at St. Paul's, as well as 7 years of event planning experience. Mrs. Baldwin enjoys teaching children through fun activities that affect the development of the whole child. She has a daughter who is in 5th Grade and a son in 2nd Grade here at St. Paul's .
Mrs. De Lyons is the Pre-K 4 teacher and Guidance Counselor for St. Paul's Catholic School. She graduated from University of Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Health and Human Performance and the University of North Florida with a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling. Mrs. Lyons is certified in Guidance and Counseling K-12. She has taught 3 and 4 year olds at St. Paul's for 14 years and is the VPK Director for the Pre-K program. She and her husband, Mike have a daughter Kaitlyn who graduated from St. Paul's and is a freshman at University of Mississippi.
Mrs. Jewel Hanson graduated from the State University of New York at Cortland with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and earned a Master’s degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Instructional Technology from the University of North Florida. She has 19 years of teaching experience in kindergarten, first and second grades and is certified to teach Kindergarten through 6th grade. Before joining the staff at St. Paul’s Riverside, Mrs. Hanson spent 15 years teaching kindergarten at St. Paul’s in Jacksonville Beach. Mrs. Hanson has 16 year old twin daughters (Sydney and Shelby) and a 10 year old daughter Ella.
Ms. Mary Jane Schmitt was born and raised in Winter Park, FL. She attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic School, Bishop Moore High School, Florida State University, and the University of Central Florida, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She is certified to teach K through 6th grade. Ms. Schmitt began her teaching career as a second grade teacher at her alma mater, St. Margaret Mary Catholic School. After taking time off to raise her own children, she returned to teaching after her family moved to Jacksonville in 1995. Ms. Schmitt has had experience teaching Pre-K, Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Grades. This is her 10th year at St. Paul's. Ms. Schmitt has three daughters (Elizabeth, Erin, and Mary), and one son (Brian). She has one grandchild, Charlotte Jane.
Mrs. Bobbie Rountree is a 1993 graduate from Bishop Kenny High School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville University and a Master of Science in Reading Diagnostics and Research from University of Florida. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Rountree has sixteen years of combined teaching experience in Pre-K, K,1st and 2nd grades. Her daughter, Rebecca is freshman at Florida Gulf Coast University and her son Quentin is a senior at Bishop Kenny High School. Mrs. Rountree, her husband, Ron, and their two children enjoy playing and watching sports, going to the beach, and spending time with family.
Mrs. Hittell spent her Elementary years here at St. Paul’s and graduated from Bishop Kenny High School. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in 2011 and went on to University of North Florida where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education K-6 and received her ESOL endorsement. Kelli feels very blessed to be able to teach at her Alma Mater. She hopes to give back all that she received here at St. Paul’s. Mrs. Hittell cannot wait to teach the core principles in education and instill a deep Christian faith in all of her students.
Mr. Di Paolo was born in Pennsylvania and attended Catholic school from PreK through his senior year of high school. He graduated high school in 2002 and went into the Navy immediately after. When he finished his service he attended Northampton Community College for two years where he wrestled. He graduated from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, K-6. His first year of teaching was in Chignik Lake, Alaska. He has taught at a private Christian school in Orange Park and in Duval County Public Schools. This is his 6th year of teaching and his second at St. Paul’s. His wife Tamara is also a teacher in Duval County. They have a little girl who is VPK at St. Paul and a baby boy.
Dr. Lee Beaton holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She also has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She is currently the fifth grade teacher, but also teaches graduate courses in the Ed. Leadership Dept. at the University of North Florida. Dr. B. has worked in both Catholic and Public school systems as teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent, but her true love is in the classroom with the children. She has two adult children, several grandchildren, and is a volunteer puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence.
